Looking for Interested People to Submit Ideas and Suggestions for New Entrance Projects

Please look at the details of our newest community project. We are looking at possibly applying for matching funds from the Tulsa Beautification Grant for working on the opposing entrance corners so that they will match the new signage. For years we have had to trim trees that were not pruned for many years and this labor was all voluntary. The few shrubs that have been left are not pretty nor can they be easily shaped since they have been abandoned for many years by the membership. Since the number of vlunteers have dwindled and membership has been less than lack luster we have decided to look at applying for these funds and finishing the entrances. We have gorgeous signage and want the other side to be just as breathtaking. We need ideas and suggestions as soon as we can to have our plan together by September 1, 2010. If you have suggestions for plants, trees bring them up on this blog or come to the next meeting and jot them down for us. We are looking at including some more free trees from Up With Trees to round out whatever plantings we decide to put in the other corners. Take a look at them next time you drive in and think about what you might like to see over there. We want things that can be easily trimmed and look great.
